77 assorted icons. Some of them are singles or small sets, mostly from requests, that I'm finally posting. I think I'm caught up on all the requests people have made now - if I've missed you, please let me know :) I should add that though some of my TOS icons poke mild fun at the new Star Trek movie, I actually really enjoyed it, and will be making some icons based on it once more screencaps become available *g* As always, please comment and credit if you take any, and enjoy :)

Tricky question :) It's sort of a quote from G. K. Chesterton, but he seems to have expressed it various different ways, and to be widely quoted in different ways (see here). It's probably best known in the paraphrased form used by Neil Gaiman: "Fairy tales are more than true — not because they tell us dragons exist, but because they tell us dragons can be beaten." -- G. K. Chesterton, as quoted in Coraline (2004) by Neil Gaiman, epigraph.

These are some of the various versions I found online:

Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. -- G. K. Chesterton, as quoted in Raising Young Children: 52 Brilliant Little Ideas for Parenting Under 5s (2007) by Sabina Dosani and Peter Cross, p. 38
